Friendship Manor is the only faith-based, charitable Continuing Care Retirement Community in the Illinois Quad Cities. We are non-denominational in nature and welcome people of all faiths. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) we are thoughtful stewards of our gifts, assets, and resources.
Friendship Manor was founded in 1979 by The International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons, Illinois Branch. By offering care in seven different service areas, residents can call Friendship Manor home for life—even as their care levels change. Our campus in Rock Island includes independent and assisted living apartment homes, rehab, villas, memory care, and skilled nursing.

Independent living at Friendship Manor is for seniors who want the amenities and social opportunities our community provides, but who don’t require additional support services. Residents enjoy fully equipped apartment homes and have access to a wide range of activities. Licensed nurses are onsite to attend to any health concern that may arise giving you the reassurance of support when you need it, and it gives your family peace of mind!
Apartment homes are offered with a one-year rate agreement and convenient monthly payments. Choose from one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Apartment features include beautiful one- and two-bedroom floor plans from 610 to 867 sq. ft., fully equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting, spacious closets, individually controlled heating and cooling, smoke alarms, and an emergency pull cord.
Live on your own in our Senior Villas while you take advantage of dining and activity services at Friendship Manor. Our thirteen independent living villa homes are just across from the main campus giving you easy access to rehab, activities, the bistro, and convenient shops of Main Street. Leave the home maintenance to our staff. Relax and enjoy your retirement years without the burdens of homeownership. Each villa has a one-year rental contract. All floor plans are for two bedrooms and two bathrooms with garage and patio. The fenced community is tranquil and allows you to make an easier transition from your home to the carefree lifestyle of Friendship Manor.
The Villa features include single floor living (two floors in triplex), two bathrooms, two bedrooms, open floor plan with spacious kitchen and eat in area, all appliances, outdoor living space/patio and front porch, ample storage, landscaping, natural gas fireplace (in two-car garage villas), sprinkler system and smoke alarms, and one- or two-car garage.
Assisted living allows you to maintain your active lifestyle while getting tailored help with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and medication reminders. The assisted living lifestyle at Friendship Manor focuses on wellness and provides the levels of service you need, based on your ability. With onsite access to dining, exercise facilities, Ruth’s Country Store, and activities; Friendship Manor offers everything you need without leaving your home.
Assisted living apartment homes are leased with convenient monthly payments. Assisted living apartment features include beautiful studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans from 333 to 867 sq. ft., fully equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting, spacious closets, individually controlled heating and cooling, sprinkler system and smoke alarms, and the Lifeline emergency call system.
New Friendships Memory Care is an inviting, assisted living memory care neighborhood with 24 apartment homes at Friendship Manor. Residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia receive specialized care in an environment designed specifically for their challenges. Apartment homes are rented by the year, with convenient monthly payments. Ask about availability of studio and one-bedroom apartment homes.
Memory care residents enjoy socializing together in their private dining room, away from Friendship Manor’s more active main dining area. New Friendships’ spacious family room is a favorite place to gather and offers views of the courtyard that is fully secured for the residents’ safety.
New Friendships Memory Care offers spacious studio and one-bedroom floor plans from 366 to 840 sq. ft., kitchenette, large bathroom with comfort-height toilet, walk-in shower and easy-access doors. You will love our carefully appointed interior lighting fixtures, colors, and finishes with wall-to-wall carpeting, spacious closets, individually controlled heating and cooling, sprinkler system and smoke alarms, and Lifeline emergency call system. Additionally, our power supply includes backup generators.
If you need additional care while recovering from illness or surgery, Silver Cross Health and Rehabilitation Pavilion provides skilled nursing care right at Friendship Manor. Our own Rehab and Therapy Center can help you regain and maintain wellness in our convenient facility inside Friendship Manor.
Silver Cross Health and Rehabilitation Pavilion is a fully licensed, 94-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility located on the Friendship Manor campus. Care is offered for short- and long-term stays. You do not need to be a Friendship Manor resident to receive services at Silver Cross. A wide spectrum of care is offered at Silver Cross, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Respite admissions and hospice care is also available.
Regain and maintain your wellness and quality of life with help from Friendship Manor’s skilled rehab and therapy professionals. Residents from Friendship Manor and outpatients from the community can use our therapy services to improve balance and strength while reducing pain and improving function.
With rehab right onsite, it’s convenient to receive treatment while you’re living at Friendship Manor or staying at Silver Cross while you recover from an illness or surgery. Areas of specialty include orthopedic rehabilitation after joint replacement, degenerative joint disease, arthritis, and neurological rehabilitation. Neurological rehab helps patients affected by a stroke or brain injury and those with Parkinson’s or related diseases.
Physical therapy programs use advanced equipment, such as the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill for the rehabilitation process.
Occupational therapy facilitates a return to activities by adapting or modifying tasks and environments. This therapy can help you or a loved one regain the ability to perform a certain task or return home to live independently.
Speech and language therapy provide help with swallowing, speaking, and cognition. Verbal and non-verbal communication skills are taught and exercises to strengthen muscles used to speak and swallow are utilized.
All outpatient rehabilitation therapies require an order from your physician. Most insurance plans are accepted upon approval.

At the Manor, our independent living residents are served lunch or dinner daily. If you are a resident of the Villas, there are ten meals provided monthly with the option to purchase more or opt out. Our assisted living, memory care, rehab, and skilled nursing residents are served three meals daily plus snacks.
At the Manor, independent living residents receive housekeeping and flat laundry service every other week and an annual deep cleaning. Weekly housekeeping and laundry services with an annual deep clean is included for our assisted living and memory care residents.
There is always something fun to do at Friendship Manor. Without leaving home, you can watch a movie, play cards, exercise, learn computer skills, hone your woodworking skills, or attend vespers just to name a few of the most popular activities. Our active residents take advantage of outings to shop, dine at a restaurant, or attend a local cultural activity. A birthday party is held monthly for residents and is a favorite activity.
Members Friendship Connection, friends, and family are always welcome to attend events. Special events are planned throughout the year, including Valentine’s Day Tea, Mother’s Day Mother/Daughter Luncheon, St. Patrick’s Day Event, 4th of July in Galva Event, Music in the Park, Baseball Games, Fishing Trips, Octoberfest, Halloween Party, Veterans’ Celebration, Resident/Family Candlelight Dinner, and more!
Residents at Silver Cross are encouraged to participate in creative, spiritual, and physical activities. Daily activities typically start at 9:30 a.m., and continue until dinner every day of the week. Residents may also take a trip to local cultural events or activities with transportation provided by Friendship Manor. Single and double occupancy rooms are available. Silver Cross is both Medicare and Medicaid certified.
Transportation is included at no charge to local shopping centers and grocery stores. Residents can also sign up for a ride to a medical appointment.
